We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Payments Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in providing expert-level support on payment-specific questions and issues, ensuring our sales and customer engagement teams can focus on broader product-related queries. The Payments Specialist will be instrumental in aiding our sales process, analysing competitor statements, and working closely with various internal teams to enhance our payment solutions offering.

Payments Expertise and Support:
- Provide expert answers to payments-specific questions (e.g., interchange++ model, estimating monthly payment costs, Mews fees) that Sales and Customer Engagement (CE) teams receive from customers.
- Distinguish between PMS+payments product questions handled by Solutions Architects (SAs) and Technical Account Managers (TAMs), and purely payments-related queries.
Sales Support:
- Assist Sales during the contracting phase by addressing questions related to payment pricing and functionality.
- Collaborate with the Deal Desk to determine appropriate discounts, if any, based on payment structures and competitive analysis.
Competitor Analysis:
- Analyse competitor payment statements to provide insights and comparative data to the sales and product teams.
- Keep abreast of market trends and competitor offerings to inform internal strategies.
Objection Handling:
- Address and resolve payments-specific objections raised by potential or current customers.
- Work closely with the Sales and CE teams to develop strategies for overcoming common payment-related objections.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the payment pricing analyst, competition team, product and product marketing to share feedback and relevant market/competitor information gathered from customer interactions.
- Support enablement teams in product marketing and sales by providing necessary training and information on payment solutions.

- Proven experience in a payments-related role, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
- Strong understanding of payment processing models, including interchange++.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience working with sales and customer engagement teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and competitor statement analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
