What You’ll Do
As the Lead Doctor, you will:

You will be the Clinical Lead, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Develop and Manage Prescribing Services: Establish and supervise our prescribing services, ensuring safety, quality, and effectiveness. Initially, you will do the prescribing yourself but will be responsible for creating scalable systems and processes for the future.
- Train and Support Prescribers: As the service scales, ensure prescribers are operating within their competencies, providing training, auditing their activities, and offering clinical guidance. You’ll review caseloads and support MDT members on cases beyond their expertise.
- Authorise Treatment Plans and Protocols: Define and approve treatment plans, ensuring they meet the service's clinical needs. You'll lead MDT meetings and assess clinical outcomes to enhance patient care.
- Direct Patient Engagement: Where needed, provide direct consultations and medical assessments to patients, overseeing their care and ensuring that treatment plans align with best practices.
- Enhance Clinical Programmes: Innovate and improve our clinical programmes, including Tier 2 weight management, type 2 diabetes prevention, and medication-assisted interventions.
- Support CQC Compliance: Work closely with the Registered Manager to maintain CQC standards, ensuring robust quality assurance processes are in place. You may eventually take on the Nominated Individual or Registered Manager role.
- Contribute to Research & Development: Collaborate on programme evaluations, research initiatives, and the continuous improvement of our services. You may also co-author research papers, helping to advance the field of obesity management.
- Bid Support: Assist the partnerships team in preparing bid responses for weight management service tenders, ensuring we align with clinical best practices to maximise the quality of our bids.
- Complex Case Support: Provide medical expertise to health coaches and MDT members managing complex cases, ensuring the highest level of clinical support.
