The Role:
The Product Designer is responsible for driving the usability and visual impact of Hadean’s products. They will collaborate closely with product managers, engineering, and marketing, to ensure the design of products meets customer requirements and has impact in the market.
The Product Designer is the evangelist for high quality user experience within the business. They should maintain a high pace of constant iteration on the products and prototypes, ensuring we always meet customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualisation, design & prototyping
Develop innovative product designs, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
Lead brainstorming and ideation sessions to create unique and effective design concepts.
Build interactive prototypes to test and validate ideas with users and stakeholders.
Iterate designs based on feedback and testing results to enhance usability and user satisfaction.
Design systems & standards
Maintain a consistent design system & templates, that ensures design coherence and a unified experience across products, and supports rapid prototyping & iteration.
Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and proactively suggest ways to integrate them into our products.
Adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to evolving visual language.
Customer, Prospect & Market Insights
Engage with customers & prospects in their environments to understand their problems and requirements, throughout the sales cycle, delivery, and post-delivery
Work closely with Product Marketing, to gather market intelligence
Conduct user research, with customers, prospects and other helpful stakeholders, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points. Translate research findings into design improvements and new product features.
Cross-functional collaboration
Attend relevant ceremonies of all development teams and act as the voice for the user experience & user interfaces of the products.
Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure designs align with the product vision, business objectives, and technical constraints.
Support technical writers in the usability of documentation, including supporting the addition of current product designs.
Skills required:
Figma, or at least another other design tool (e.g. Adobe XD)
HTML & CSS, some JS desirable
Experience of designing dashboards/presenting data is desirable
