HR Coordinator – People Operations Focus
Location: Hybrid (London, SE1 – in-office minimum 2 days per week)

The next step in our journey? We’re looking for an HR coordinator with a love for People Ops to join our Team!
The Role:
As an HR Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting Fertifa's dynamic and growing team. You will work closely with and report to the Director of People to help shape the culture and ethos of the company. Your focus will be on enhancing employee engagement, streamlining HR processes, and ensuring a high performance approach across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems accurately and confidentially.
- Act as a support for performance reviews and feedback cycles.
- Act as a support in ER cases any related documentation.
Operational Support:
- Create and manage HR policies, ensuring compliance with UK regulations aiming for the Gold Standard.
- Create and update internal documents such as our onboarding packs, and our employee handbook.
- Provide administrative support for benefits programs, including health, wellbeing and communicate any changes.
- Process all leave of absence requests and admin as instructed (example: maternity/paternity, shared parental leave, adoption, parental leave and all flexible working requests).
- Work closely with the payroll team to ensure accuracy in monthly payroll processing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and assist with internal audits and compliance tracking ensuring HR processes are compliant.
People Engagement:
- Plan and execute team-building events, employee initiatives, and wellbeing activities.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing HR-related queries promptly.
- Conduct and analyse bi-annual employee surveys.
- Gather and report on HR metrics such as eNPS.
Talent Acquisition and Recruiting:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate communications and contracts.
Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in HR processes.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the organization.
Professional Development:
- Demonstrate a strong desire to complete or work toward a CIPD qualification (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development), showcasing your commitment to becoming a recognized HR professional.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1–2 years of HR or People Operations experience, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Familiarity with HR systems and processes; experience with tools like BambooHR or similar is a plus.
- A basic understanding of UK employment laws and HR compliance.
