We are looking for a starting accounting and finance professional to help us with the day-to-day accounting tasks. You get insight into various processes and jurisdictions where GoStudent is performing business.

Your Role in Our Journey
- Performs accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules
- Prepares, records, analyses and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
- Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects
- Records, reconciles and analyses Payables and Receivables positions and process payments
- Performs closing activities for areas of responsibility and prepares the results for review
- Maintains and reconciles sub-ledgers for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts
- Records and processes financial transactions accurately and timely in the sub-ledger systems
- Prepares and posts journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Investigates and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to sub-ledger accounts
- Supports the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations for sub-ledger transactions
- Ensures compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards
- Collaborates with other finance team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Assists in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures
- Monitors sub-ledger activities and ensures that all entries are correctly allocated
