As Head of Insurance Operations, your role is to develop and manage the Insurance Operations function as a key leader of the Risk Transfer team. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvements while adhering to industry best practices and leveraging in-house expertise in technology and data to streamline and remove friction wherever possible. Responsible for the development of the insurance operations team ensuring we meet obligations for compliance, premium invoicing and reconciliation, underwriting technical support, bordereau reporting and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and overall efficiency within the operations practice. This is a critical role that will contribute to the overall success and growth of Loadsure.

Key Responsibilities;
- Lead and manage the insurance operations team to oversee the back office requirements of the risk transfer business, including policy administration and underwriting support.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards through close collaboration with the head of compliance.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of insurance systems and technology.
- Support the Product Team and provide subject matter expertise in the development of new insurance operations technologies.
- Develop and implement best practice operational policies and procedures, automating wherever possible through collaboration with Data and Engineering.
- Oversee the invoicing and reconciliation for premiums, embracing solutions for automation and revenue optimization, supporting the direct and accurate flow of financial data to the finance and business intelligence team.
- Manage the bordeaux processes for written and paid statements for all coverholder agreements, delivering clear communication and on time performance.
- Collaborate with other functions including Data and Engineering to ensure seamless operations and maximum efficiency.
- Ensure proper coordinated preparedness and response to carrier requests and audits
- Support the Chief Insurance Officer (CIO) to help facilitate any information or documentation required for insurance binder renewals and the addition of insurance capacity
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLA’s) and key performance indicators (KPI’s), as developed with the CIO and COO.

- Minimum of 10+ years in Insurance Operations and experience in leading a team
- Strong understanding of Insurance processes and regulations
- Experience within process improvement methodologies
- Experience and knowledge of risk management principles
- Proven administrative experience and ability to multitask and prioritise work flows
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and numeracy skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Background in program business and operations
