What you will do
As a commercially driven Account Manager at Funnel, you will be a key driver of revenue growth, responsible for maximizing the value of existing customers. Your role will focus on identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, increasing monthly recurring revenue, and expanding Funnel’s footprint within your customer portfolio. You will collaborate with Customer Success and other teams but focus primarily on sales performance and exceeding revenue targets. The measure of success in this role is your ability to generate growth, deliver value, and WOW your customers.
The role
Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen and the ability to spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities. We need a proactive sales driver with a hunter mentality—someone who takes ownership of the sales process, exceeds targets, and demonstrates grit in overcoming objections. You’ll collaborate with your team but keep your eye on the ultimate goal: growing Funnel’s revenue through individual initiative and teamwork.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding clients' evolving needs and recommending Funnel solutions.
Developing compelling business cases for these opportunities by aligning Funnel’s products with the client's strategic goals.
Proactively engage customers ahead of renewals, efficiently manage the entire renewal process, and collaborate with the customer success team to mitigate potential churn and downsell risks.
Skillfully negotiate pricing and (multi-year) contracts, including renewals and expansions, to achieve beneficial outcomes that foster long-term customer relationships and ensure continued success with Funnel

Experience and skills:
6+ years of experience in an Account Executive and/or Account Management role, preferably in the MarTech industry
Proven track record of consistently meeting revenue quotas
Strong knowledge of SaaS business models and cycles
Proven success with procurement and contract negotiation
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual)
Strong prioritisation and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in German and English is required
