In your role as a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) you will shape our pricing strategy by growing and managing the team, conducting in depth analysis and capturing value for the company. You will be instrumental in building features on the Cart, Checkout and Payments system using Golang or Kotlin, with a focus on the backend. (If you have limited exposure to Kotlin or none at all, feel free to apply, especially if you have significant experience as a Golang developer.)

Qualifications
- Experience building scalable and reliable large-scale applications.
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer
- Previous experience of architectural input into the design and build of a backend application/product/feature
- Comfortable with event-based communication between microservices
- Familiarity with data storage and message brokering tools such as Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Experience using cloud provider platforms like GCP or AWS, and deploying distributed services to Kubernetes. (Terraform knowledge is nice to have)
- Ideally previous experience designing and developing high-availability systems with high data/events throughput
- Proficient in applying best practice Design patterns and Design principles when building your software
- Familiarity with optimization algorithms or techniques, and in particular with the challenges of applying them in real-world settings
- Fluent English communication skills
