We are looking for a motivated and highly organized student to join our team based in Vienna as a Marketing Assistant (f/m/d) with a focus on event organization, promotion, and logistics. This part-time role is ideal for students who are passionate about marketing and events. You will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of CrateDB events, managing logistics, and helping with follow-up activities.

WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Event Planning & Coordination
- Help with planning and organizing external and company-owned events as the CrateDB European City Tour in collaboration with the Marketing Manager
- Support the implementation of events in the US with the help of the Marketing Manager and our local contact
- Assist in coordinating event logistics, including event planning, venue selection, and arranging necessary resources like accommodation, catering, and equipment
- Communicate with vendors, speakers, and attendees to ensure all logistical elements are in place
Event Logistics Management
- Help to manage the event registration, guest lists, and attendee communication
- Prepare event schedules and ensure smooth coordination on the day of the event
- Assist with tracking event-related expenses and staying within budget

Marketing & Promotion
- Assist in promoting events via social media and digital channels
- Help design event-related content, including banners, posts, and promotional materials for online and offline use
- Assist with updating CrateDB’s website with event details
Post-Event Follow-Up
- Help collect and analyze attendee feedback through surveys and other follow-up mechanisms
- Contribute to post-event reports: performance metrics, and post-event emailing
Administrative Support
- Assist with the delivery of the events, ensuring all timelines and deadlines are met
- Maintain and update marketing contact lists and CRM databases with event-related information
YOUR SKILLS
- Currently enrolled as a bachelor or master student, with an interest in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields with at least 2 more semesters to study (a degree is not required)
- Availability to work part-time with flexibility to accommodate study commitments
- Full proficiency in English, additional languages are a plus
- Interest in events management, experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You like being in contact with prospects
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools is a plus
- Willingness to travel for events (1-2x / month)
