The Role
We are seeking a Junior Manual QA Tester to join our team. As we revolutionize the software spend industry, we need someone to help ensure our product enhancements are shipped on time and meet the highest standards. This role offers the opportunity to start as a manual tester with the potential to grow into an automation tester through our training and support.
You'll be working in our London office alongside our engineering team as the trusted adviser to our product changes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing team, with the chance to have a big impact at the early stage of a startup journey.

What you’ll be working on:
- Execute manual tests on software applications to ensure the product meets specified requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well organized test plans, test cases and test results.
- Identify, record, document, and track any issues and improvements.
- Communicate findings clearly and concisely to developers and stakeholders.
- Work closely with development teams to understand product changes and new features.
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not adversely affected by new changes.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who understands when it's best to write automated tests and when to test manually - we’ll help you get there. Ideally, you recognize the importance of pushing the boundaries of traditional testing by automating processes and sharing test results across Product and Engineering teams. Familiarity with modern testing tools like Testmo, GitHub and Playwright is a plus.
This role is perfect for a junior manual QA tester eager to learn and grow.
Your skills:
You can confidently communicate both verbally and in writing in English, effectively reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
- Knowledge of basic testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript or React.
- Ability to work with databases and execute simple SQL queries.
- Familiarity with software like JIRA or similar.
- Willingness to develop your analytical thinking to understand complex systems and identify potential areas of risk.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Openness to receiving feedback and implementing improvements.
- Exposure to automation tools (preferred but not required; willingness to learn is crucial).

Salary range - £30k- £40k
