Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our credit risk team as a
Junior Credit Analyst. As a Junior Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the
evaluation and analysis of the creditworthiness of SME’s. The role involves gathering and
assessing financial information, preparing reports, and supporting senior analysts and
management in making informed credit decisions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Evaluate financial ratios and trends to assess the financial health of borrowers.
Credit Assessment:
- Assist in conducting credit risk assessments of potential and existing clients.
- Review credit applications and supporting documentation to determine creditworthiness.
- Assist in determining credit limits and terms based on analysis.
Reporting:
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports for senior analysts and management.
- Maintain and update credit files and records accurately.
Data Gathering:
- Collect and verify financial information from clients and other sources.
- Conduct market and industry research to support credit evaluations.
Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring and reviewing existing credit accounts to identify potential risks.
- Support in the preparation of regular credit reviews and portfolio analysis.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior credit analysts and other departments to ensure accurate and timely credit assessments.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and clarify queries.
Qualifications:
Education or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or
- Credit Analyst with 3-5 years’ experience in financial analysis and risk assessment to evaluate creditworthiness and support lending decisions.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial analysis and understanding of financial statements.
- Familiarity with credit analysis tools and software.
- Strong Excel skills: experience with financial modeling is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
