Your mission:
As leading Investment API category leader in Europe, we are now expanding to the UK after successful receipt of the respective FCA licences. The GM UK will be part of Upvest’s senior leadership and reports directly to the CEO. The candidate will drive local business success and talents:
Own UK success
At Upvest we believe in radical ownership and look for a GM that nails our success in the UK. As General Manager UK, you will lead the strategic direction, growth and overall performance of our UK business. You will be a key force in shaping our holistic business strategy, being closely aligned with our product roadmap. You drive our UK product success, spearhead our local operations and compliance relationships. And own the most important vendor relationships locally.
You will steer our local sales efforts, building the team and maintain strong relationships with our clients, partners and industry experts in the region. You are eager to shape Upvest’s public perception in the local market as a vocal ambassador internally and externally.
Having built the core of our API Investment Infrastructure along brokerage, settlement and custody, you will be a sparring partner working closely together with our Product & Engineering and Operations teams to shape our Product roadmap to delight UK clients. You will be a key driver in setting up our local operations and compliance teams.
Together with the compliance and banking teams, you will define the regulatory strategy, maintaining close relationships with the local regulators and acting as sparring partner to the rest of the team.

Job requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in succeeding within the UK fintech and investment industry. The candidate has led excellent teams and drove outstanding outcomes. The candidate is a visionary leader that can steer strategy and execution.
Proven domain knowledge in B2B and fintech. Previous experience in the investment space and with API/SaaS companies is a big plus;
Deep understanding of B2B client needs and delightment. A client-centric mindset combined with strong analytical skills;
A thorough strategic perspective with a clear bias for impact and speed in owning our holistic expansion strategy, including shaping our GTM strategy & execution;
Outstanding people leadership skills enabling you to inspire others and lead with empathy. You create a non-hierarchical, inclusive, and respectful team environment championing coaching others and giving and receiving feedback;
Builder mentality coupled with a humble, value-driven and hands-on approach to work. Even at this step of your career you strive to learn and develop continuously;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, excite and influence external and internal senior stakeholders;
