About The Role
We are looking for a talented ESG Team Lead to manage a team of 6+ FTE with the goal of bringing ESG metrics on the Atlas platform and continually enhancing the smart ESG data model that powers our system. Your focus will be to lead the team towards full coverage of major ESG regulations and reporting standards on platform (e.g. CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, etc), overseeing the quality of all metrics on our system, and ensuring that we maximize efficiency and automation for organizations using our software to collect, manage, and report their data. As a Team Lead at a fast-growing VC-backed startup, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the scalability and success of our ESG software, while managing a high-performing team of ESG specialists.
Tasks
- Manage a team of 6+ FTE, establishing clear tasks and goals for all team members
- Establish clear roadmaps for the addition of metrics to platform, aligned with customer expectations of a market-leading ESG software solution
- Own our end-to-end process for bringing metrics on platform including: prioritization of metrics, research on regulations and standards, calculation methodologies, metric development process, quality assurance, translations, releasing to customers and gathering feedback
- Enhance our smart data model to ensure that ESG information is never entered twice on platform and users benefit from automated calculations
- Collaborate with product and engineering to discover new technology solutions that will increase team efficiency and facilitate the digitalization of ESG data
- Collaborate with wider ESG teams to ensure alignment around customer needs and share ESG expertise
Requirements
- You have >5 years of relevant experience (e.g. in ESG consulting, ESG data analysis, sustainability reporting, ESG technology)
- You have experience managing a small team and enabling team members to reach their full potential
- You have knowledge and practical experience with major ESG standard/regulations (CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, CDP, GRI, ISSB, etc)
- You must be fluent in English and German. Additional languages are a plus.
- You must be highly proficient working with both qualitative and quantitative ESG data. You must have experience working with large databases and be able to understand advanced formulas and logical concepts. Data/programming skills are a bonus (e.g. R, Tableau, Python, JavaScript).
