Director of Government Programs
Castelion is seeking a resourceful, flexible, and relentless program management leader to serve as the company’s primary customer interface for current and future Castelion customer programs. This person will drive the company’s management of and execution against contract deliverables, partnering closely with engineering to ensure hardware deliverables meet and exceed customer expectations. A successful candidate will have demonstrated significant experience working with internal engineering teams and DoD customers and making necessary program and technical trades to ensure mission success.
Responsibilities
- Customer Program Management. Serve as primary customer point of contact for existing and future contracted program efforts, with responsibility for the successful execution of such efforts. Responsibilities include building and managing internal and external program schedules and deliverables, with buy in from both customer and Castelion engineering management, and marshaling internal engineering resources to ensure successful execution of contracted efforts.
- Operational Regulatory. Work with Company leadership to establish relationships with key regulators and drive positive outcomes on long-lead regulatory hurdles including FAA, FCC, and environmental permitting for future flight test activities.
- Product Development. With Sales, advise Castelion product development teams on future customer requirements to ensure future offerings meet the desired future capabilities of existing and future customers.
Qualifications
- Technical Program Management Experience. 5+ years of technical program management experience, preferably the in aerospace and defense sector. Extremely diligent and detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders to achieve a mutually desired outcome.
- Communication Skills. Candidate must have demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills and direct experience negotiating technical deliverables. Candidate must demonstrate an ability to manage the independent preparation for Customer reviews and other key program meetings.
- Bias to Action and Creative Problem Solving. Proven track record of taking initiative, anticipating problems, and rapidly developing solutions when issues arrive.
- High Commitment, High Initiative. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for Castelion’s mission and consistently look for ways to contribute to the company’s technical goals and prevent hardware blockers.
- Security Clearance. Ability to obtain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance is preferred and may be required to work on future sensitive Castelion programs.
