🤗 The team
Telecom & Operations is Gigs’ central operations function responsible for working with industry partners and across our internal stack to scale our business. This includes building programs to run our products, running core operations, and building our partnership ecosystem to deliver a world-class platform. This team sits cross-functionally between Business Development, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.
🔧 The position
You’ll be the go-to stakeholder for our Tax and Compliance products at Gigs. You’ll work across Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Customer Success to build out efficient and scalable business processes and product operations that enable these products to be seamlessly embedded into our platform and scale with large, enterprise customers.
You will work closely with April, our Head of Telecom & Operations.
Some of your work will include:
- Program Management: You’ll be the go-to internal owner for our Tax and Compliance products embedded into our platform. This includes understanding how Gigs is registered in the U.S. and abroad, our tax and regulatory obligations, and how we’ve built this into our platform and white-label product. You’ll obsess over ensuring we have a flexible platform that can be tailored to our top use-cases, and ensure our product enables customers to stay competitive across their market segment.
- Project Management: Manage complex company-wide initiatives for our Tax and Compliance products. This includes working with legal counsel to understand new or shifting requirements, and working with Product to roll these out across our platform and operations.
- Operations: Create simple, transparent processes for business stakeholders to understand operations around the Tax and Compliance products. Obsess over how to automate these steps at the right time for the business. Design and own the metrics for this product and keep cross-functional stakeholders in sync with product health and development needs.
- Manage Product Partnerships: Work across external partners to ensure the data we are receiving is accurate. Deploy scrappy solutions to spot check 3rd party data inputs and constantly ask if there are ways we can increase our competitive stance in the market.
👟 About you
- You have 3+ years of relevant work experience. Experience at a B2B or SaaS company in program management or product operations as the company scaled in size. Previous experience managing a financial or regulated product is a bonus. Previous Telecom industry experience is a nice-to-have but not necessary.
- You’re a problem solver. You love solving problems and enjoy learning how systems work. You’re curious and take the initiative. You think creatively about how to build incremental solutions and enjoy using data to prioritize your work and make decisions.
- You look to unblock inefficiency. You look at the entire operation along the B2B2C value chain and find ways to make things more efficient. You consider interdependencies to figure out where processes can be improved (both internal and external) and where things could break.
- You love to challenge the status quo: You work best in an environment where you can test solutions that work for the business. You like to question why something doesn't currently work and take things that don't work apart to see how you can rebuild them better. You keep a balance between getting things done and challenging the existing limitations.
- You’re based in North America or Europe. You’re fluent in English.
