The Opportunity:
As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a Benefits & People Associate to join our APAC People Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the effectiveness of our APAC benefits programs while recommending process improvements. You will also engage in various people-related projects and conduct analyses to support strategic decision-making. This position reports to the Director of People, APAC.
You Will:
- Collaborate with the team manager to manage employee benefits in the APAC region, aligning with company strategy, policies, and local requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits. Present insurance plans to new hires, respond to inquiries about employee welfare programs, and assist with claims resolution when needed, particularly for new countries and electronic processes.
- Maintain primary relationships with benefits providers, brokers, and consultants. Facilitate communication between employees and insurers/brokers to ensure smooth information exchange, documentation collection, and submission for approvals, benefit enrollments, and dependent verifications. Audit benefits invoices for accuracy and process payments.
- Support the open enrollment events and new or revised programs. Lead coordination efforts to keep employees informed about changes to benefits plans.
- Ensure compliance with all benefit plan requirements, completing necessary filings and notices in a timely manner.
- Actively educate and inform employees about benefit plans, enrollment opportunities.
- Collaborate with the People Business Partner Or People Operations function on additional employee projects and programs as needed.
- Identifying, engaging and communicating Benefits & Welfare opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
- Perform other relevant People team duties as assigned.
You Should Have:
- 2-5 years of experience in employee benefits, compensation administration, and/or HR operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a professional demeanor and a strong focus on confidentiality.
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with Workday or similar systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and a sense of urgency, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with benefits best practices and compliance requirements across APAC countries.
- Experience with employee benefits in Mainland China and Hong Kong is required; experience in other APAC countries is a plus.
