The Team:
The Global Business Operations team at Medallia is responsible for driving organizational strategy through process improvements, monitoring business metrics, and defining initiatives for change. We develop and deliver operational business processes for our Professional Services organization. Broadly, Professional Services is responsible for unlocking the value of the Medallia platform for our customers and our partners by ensuring they receive the system expertise and customer experience management guidance required for business impact.
The Role:
Our Director, of Professional Services Revenue Operations will possess an innate strategic planning mindset and actively drive operations strategies to improve existing business processes, establish best practices to enable adoption, and facilitate the organization to meet business goals. You will proactively work with the PS Operations leadership team to identify, develop, maintain, and action on metrics and analysis to solve business problems and identify opportunity areas and be an active contributor in all collaboration efforts between the PS Ops leadership team and the CDO (Client Delivery Organization) leadership team to prioritize action steps to achieve organizational goals. You will deliver effective and concise communication to varying levels of audiences from internal colleagues to executive staff on project status, process updates, and represent any other Business Operations initiatives. You will demonstrate the ability to work well with others, drive project collaboration, and foster strong relationships with internal teams to achieve business goals quickly and efficiently.
As a leader you will have the ability to build, coach, and lead a high-functioning team to drive excellence and operational efficiency within the Professional Services organization. You will maintain high standards, assist in prioritizing tasks, and identify and advise in professional development opportunities. You will be an escalation point - collaborating with team to help address any pressing issues and serve as an important cross-functional liaison between PS regional leadership, Operations, Finance, IT, and Accounting teams, as needed.
Responsibilities - Communicate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting including Revenue, Forecasting Variance, and Margin Analysis for the PS Leadership Team.
- Drive alignment between the Professional Services Team and other cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Finance, and Order Management.
- Ensure PS Organization is positioned for success by proactively identifying challenges, gaps, and solutions both internally and with partners in Accounting, Finance, and Order Management.
- Assess and develop an onboarding and integration plan for any newly acquired businesses, including non-standard professional services business entities within the CDO.
- Oversee accurate syncing and integration of Professional Services data across system platforms to recognize revenue accurately and timely. Work with Key Stakeholders on communications to leadership and communicating timelines.
- Communicate Key Drivers of reconciliations of monthly activity working closely with Corporate Finance/Accounting Teams and PS Leadership Team.
- Lead initiatives to drive efficiencies around revenue recognition and reporting processes.
- Manage process improvements ensuring accuracy and timeliness is of the utmost importance
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in Operations or Accounting/Finance in a SaaS environment - supporting Professional Services organizations preferred

- Strong and clear communication skills
- Demonstrated operational excellence in analytical thinking, process development, and improvement, problem-solving, communication, delegation, and planning
- Solid experience in leading geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team
- Proven ability to build and implement strategies with an ability to track success
- Established experience in presenting and collaborating with senior management
Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000 - $210,000. This position is bonus. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
