The Role: We’re looking for a Commercial Lead who can drive our technology into the retail sector. We’ve recently secured a global contract to roll out across every IKEA and are in discussions with other major retailers worldwide. You’ll be pivotal in opening doors and getting our product into more retail environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies that drive business growth. Balance efforts between engaging with existing contacts and generating new leads.
- Customer Onboarding & Management: Efficiently manage inbound leads, conduct product demos, and ensure a seamless onboarding process for new customers.
- Lead Management: Prepare for and manage increased inbound activity, especially with upcoming PR campaigns like our collaboration with a major global retailer.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align strategies and identify target opportunities for both inbound and outbound sales.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
- Performance Analysis: Define, analyse, and act upon key metrics to measure the effectiveness of sales and onboarding processes. Continuously iterate to improve performance.
- Lead Generation: Continuously develop and refine strategies to drive lead generation and convert leads into loyal customers.
Who You Are:
- Sales Expert: A self-starter with proven experience in sales strategy, lead generation, and customer management.
- Customer-Centric: Strong ability to manage customer relationships from initial contact through onboarding and ongoing engagement.
- Proactive Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging customers through calls, emails, and demos.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute strategies that align with company objectives and drive business growth.
- Collaborative: Comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams, particularly marketing, to achieve common goals.
- Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to optimise sales processes.
- Prepared and Organised: Able to manage multiple tasks and prepare for major initiatives, such as PR campaigns, to ensure readiness and success.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using digital tools and platforms to manage sales processes and customer relationships.
- Retail Experience: Experience in a retail environment is a major plus.
