About the Role
The Finance function at Hokodo encompasses a wide range of tasks, including procuring investment from capital markets, building financing facilities, managing cash flow and banking systems, financial accounting, forecasting, covenant monitoring, liquidity management, and more.
This position will play a critical role in supporting the finance function by integrating, maintaining, and enhancing systems that streamline financial operations, improve processes to enable accurate and timely reporting across multiple entities. The role will encompass optimising and automating financial processes, managing our financial systems, and ensuring data integrity and efficiency across the finance tech stack to enable the broader team. The position gives the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high growth environment where you add value every day.

You’ll be responsible for making finance processes more efficient, leveraging technology to improve accuracy, and supporting strategic finance initiatives.

Manage day-to-day operations: Perform standard finance procedures, taking responsibility for their proper execution. This includes managing Accounts Payable and Receivable, Month-End activities like cash reconciliation, payroll processing, budgeting, financial reporting, etc.
Run and further Automate Accounting Processes: Identify and execute on opportunities for automation in the accounting and financial reporting process, including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and close processes. This is crucial for our reconciliation processes and for accurately analysing and representing our financials within our accounts.
Process Improvement: Help streamline financial processes, thereby reducing time-consuming manual work and minimising the risk of error
Partner with the Financial Controller and Broader Function Provide effective support to the Financial Controller on specific projects (such as audit, R&D claims, transfer pricing and tax optimisation workstreams)

Requirements and skills
Finance & Accounting Knowledge – Understanding of financial operations, month-end closing, reconciliations, etc.
Data Analysis & Accuracy – Working with complex financial data to ensure reporting accuracy.
Automation & Systems Experience – Ability to implement automation tools and optimize financial processes.
Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborating with multiple teams to deliver improvements.
Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal
Adaptable to a dynamic, fast-paced, changing business and regulatory environment
