In your role as a Junior Platform Engineer (m/f/d), you will help build and scale the cloud platform Flink runs on, across multiple Kubernetes clusters and other GCP services, helping your fellow engineers innovate and be productive while having fun shaping the future of quick commerce. You’ll get to sharpen your skills on the latest tech stack in the areas of DevOps tooling, CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure as code.
Job Description
- Collaborate with and actively seek mentorship from our experienced team of engineers
- Participate in building and operating a highly available Microservices Cloud platform utilizing mostly Kubernetes
- Developing and improving solutions for product development teams that empower them to deploy cloud resources quickly and with confidence
- Implement best security practices across our platform and services running on it
- Build tools to drive the use of CI/CD and the adoption of platform components by our engineering teams
- Automate operational tasks and infrastructure as code
- Monitor and manage our environments by integrating telemetry and observability into the platform
Qualifications
- You have at least one year of experience in either a Platform, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineer role, or equivalent open source projects.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure etc.)
- An understanding of and interest for software development practices
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (preferably Go or Python)
- Experience of using the Infrastructure as code approach.
- Open-minded, collaborative, and comfortable working in an Agile environment
- Fluent English communication skills
