About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Acquisitions Coordinator to join our team in Berlin. This role combines administrative excellence with content expertise, supporting senior leadership while managing festival relationships and content evaluation processes.
What you will work on:
Executive Support
Coordinate executive meetings and oversee VP's travel expense administration
Prepare and organize meeting materials, presentations, and supporting documents
Handle time-sensitive communications and ensure prompt follow-up on critical matters
Track and follow up on action items from key meetings and initiatives
Festival Operations
Maintain comprehensive tracking of film festival submission deadlines and requirements
Process and manage festival accreditations for team members
Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for festival attendance
Schedule and organize festival meetings, screenings, and related events
Content Evaluation & Market Research
Review and assess incoming scripts and film submissions
Monitor and report on major film festival programs and attendance
Track industry news and developments
Research and analyze coproduction markets, funding opportunities, and awards
Scout emerging talent through short films and debut features
Database & Information Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Airtable
Track project status and development milestones
Document meeting minutes and manage agenda planning
Organize and maintain digital archives across Google Drive and Dropbox platforms
What you will bring:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in film industry or related field
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Airtable
Experience with festival submissions and accreditation processes
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Passion for Arthouse and Independent Cinema
Understanding of international film market and festival circuit
Experience in script coverage or content evaluation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
