TastyUrban is looking for a Data Engineer to join us at this exciting stage. You will help us grow and elevate our business across Germany and internationally.
Job Summary:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that ensure the timely delivery of data. This role requires proficiency in Python and SQL, as well as experience with data pipeline planning and automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data architecture and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to support our data needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Development:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and deliver data from various sources. Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
Data Automation:
Automate data collection, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure efficient data flow.
Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from multiple sources.
Data Management:
Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and business intelligence. Optimize database performance and query efficiency.
Documentation and Best Practices:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and systems.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering.
Qualifications:
- Must be based in Berlin.
- Fluent in English, with German language strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
