The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager with a passion for storytelling, a solid grasp of brand-building, and the ability to orchestrate a network of freelance and agency resources. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our content strategy—driving Walnut’s brand voice, promoting the Product-Led Everything movement, and fueling demand generation efforts.
In this role, you’ll need to balance hands-on content development (writing, editing, and strategic ideation) with the oversight of external writers, designers, and agencies. What You’ll Do
- Develop & Lead Content Strategy
- Own Walnut’s content roadmap, ensuring alignment with overarching marketing goals, product releases, and the Product-Led Everything vision.
- Conduct audience and competitive research to uncover new content opportunities and refine messaging.
Manage External Resources & Collaborations - Build and maintain relationships with freelancers, agencies, and other external partners—establishing clear briefs, deadlines, and brand guidelines.
- Oversee and review content deliverables for quality, consistency, and alignment with Walnut’s brand voice.
Drive Brand Awareness & Thought Leadership - Champion Walnut’s Product-Led Everything mission across various channels (blog, social media, webinars, events) to position us as a market leader.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify emerging industry trends and craft narratives that resonate with our audience.
Coordinate with Demand Generation & Cross-Functional Teams - Partner with the demand gen team to develop content that drives lead acquisition and nurtures prospects through the funnel.
- Work closely with product marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure consistent, high-impact storytelling across the buyer’s journey.
Write, Edit & Optimize - While you’ll delegate much of the content creation, you’ll also produce and edit key pieces—such as high-level thought leadership articles and brand messaging—ensuring accuracy and tone.
- Implement SEO best practices and track performance metrics to optimize content for reach, engagement, and conversion.
Measure & Report on Performance - Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) to evaluate the effectiveness of content and guide data-driven decisions.
- Present regular performance updates to stakeholders, highlighting wins, insights, and areas for improvement.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably within SaaS or tech-focused environments.
- Strong writing and editorial background, with the ability to produce and polish compelling copy across multiple formats.
- Proven track record in managing freelancers, agencies, or cross-functional content teams, ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables.
- Understanding of product-led growth principles (or a keen interest in learning) and how to apply them to content strategy.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, keyword research, and inbound marketing techniques.
- Experience working with content management systems (WordPress, Webflow) and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.).
- Exceptional project management skills—capable of juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset, with outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- An interest in being a thought leader in our space to build your personal brand and Walnut’s in parallel.
