About this Role:
This is a unique opportunity to play an integral, impactful role in a large company within a smaller entrepreneurial team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage smaller projects with supervision and coaching and to support larger projects led by senior staff.
Responsibilities - Active contribution towards both quantitative and qualitative research projects, continually developing knowledge and understanding across the approaches
- Contribute to sample planning, design of questionnaires, discussion guides, and screeners, testing online surveys and coordinating with programmers, creating simple to complex tab plans
- Analyze data, identify key insights, create compelling data visualizations, and tell a story in custom-built reports – primarily PowerPoint
- Interact effectively with internal stakeholders and manage external partners with minimal supervision
- Maintain a commitment to quality, accuracy, and timeliness, while also identifying opportunities to think outside the box and be innovative
- Ensure deliverables adhere to client and team standards
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in start-to-finish custom research execution – defining research objectives and methodologies, designing instruments, managing projects, analyzing data, and communicating results
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Statistics, or any related field; or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideal candidates are driven, have a deep passion for research, enjoy building relationships and partnerships and are excellent communicators
- Proven knowledge of or exposure to research basics, ideation, storytelling, marketing/branding
- Excellent analytical and deductive reasoning skills; able to translate findings into meaningful insights
- Ability to be flexible and precise under aggressive deadlines
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects, while working independently
- Self-starter who can work independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail - known for thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency
- Capable of, and confident in, interacting with clients throughout the project lifecycle both via email and on the phone
- Critical thinker who is constantly looking for ways to evolve the capabilities of the team
- Self-aware, and continually working to strengthen core skills and overcome blind spots
Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $56,000 - $80,300. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, the candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
