About Whatfix
Whatfix disrupts how Application Support, Adoption, and Learning content is consumed by providing Contextual and Interactive WalkThroughs inside enterprise applications at the exact time a task is being performed.
We provide enterprises with a Software Platform that allows them to create Interactive Guides or Flows that sit as an overlay inside any web application. Flows are Contextual - appear based on where you are in the application (location) and who you are (role). Optimal performance and adoption of any web application are attained when there is easy access to Contextual Information - inside the application at the time a task is being performed.
In addition to this, we provide an Operating system Hub that facilitates Digital Transformation and Employee experience using DAP guidance and change management features.

About the Role
We're seeking a talented Product Designer to join our Product Design and User Research team. In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in discovering, defining, and crafting the Guidance experience within our DAP product. As a blend of strategic thinker and hands-on designer, you'll contribute to shaping the evolution of the DAP category, empowering companies and their employees to maximize their technology's potential.
The Guidance experience encompasses the complete content creation journey, from theming and customizing guidance types to leveraging use-case-driven templates and designing behavior customizations like branching decision paths. This experience is delivered through our Studio overlay on applications and the Whatfix Dashboard, offering dynamic and tailored solutions for our users.
What You’ll Do
- Own Guidance product design projects: Take charge of projects across the entire product lifecycle, collaborating with designers and cross-functional teammates to ship products and features for our DAP product line.
- Set user experience strategy: Lead the UX strategy for your Guidance pods designs and foster a collaborative environment for team input and innovation.
- Practice human-centered design: Apply design thinking and human-centered methods to craft the right product strategy, driven by deep customer and end-user research.
- Partner with Product and Engineering: Collaborate to prioritize experiences and tasks, balancing customer value and end-user needs effectively.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate: Generate multiple concepts and prototypes, combining flows, user stories, sketches, wireframes, and pixel-perfect specs while expanding on our design systems.
- Collaborate across teams: Work with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and other teams to solve problems, shape the product roadmap, and deliver solutions users love.
- Take ownership of your work: Operate autonomously while seeking guidance when needed. You’ll own every detail of your work throughout the entire process.
What you bring to the table:
- Proven design experience: You have 3 - 5 years of experience working in the B2B or Enterprise SaaS space. You’ve shipped products, and understand what it takes to build valuable, integrated, desirable experiences.
- High agency: Must find a way to do what is needed without waiting for the perfect conditions and can push through adversity to achieve goals.
- Effective communicator and facilitator: You’ve worked in and planned sprints, identified opportunities for spike projects and structured workshops to drive outcomes quickly and effectively. You’re able to accurately articulate your design specifications for product development.
- User insight synthesis: Ability to capture and transform observation of product usage to user experience improvements, new features or new models to improve the Whatfix products.
- User testing: Design user testing studies that measure usability and elicit customer requirements for design changes and new features.
- Explore multiple solutions: Comfortable exploring concepts, tweaking flows, or refining designs that represent the big-picture work.
- A commitment to quality: The ability to deliver high-quality work and speak to what makes it so. You care about the impact and can create solutions that are oriented to business outcomes.
- User-centered: A human-focused design mentality. You bring empathy to your work. You are constantly looking to refine your designs through user feedback from conversation, user research or hands-on user testing. You advocate for the user.
- Strong Portfolio: You have an online portfolio or PDF of example work that you can share with us that has well-defined case studies taking us through your thought process and approach.
- Template experience: Experience creating templates for onboarding and communications (an example is an onboarding pop-up) as well as design system experience is a strong plus.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Our team is at the forefront of building and expanding the DAP category. You’ll have the chance to lead cutting-edge design projects that truly shape how people interact with digital tools.
