ABOUT THE ROLE
At Harbor Lab, maintaining high compliance standards is integral to our operations. As a Junior Compliance Analyst, you will contribute significantly to ensuring our compliance framework remains robust and effective. You will act as the first escalation point for compliance-related queries, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of issues. Additionally, you will support internal audit processes, playing a vital role in safeguarding the organization’s adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
First Escalation Point:
- Address and resolve compliance-related queries escalated from internal teams
Compliance Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring compliance requirements and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
Policy Support:
- Assist in the development, review & monitoring of compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulations.
- Regularly review practices to maintain compliance integrity.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with first-line defense teams to ensure seamless compliance workflows.
- Address operational concerns proactively and collaboratively.
Training Assistance:
- Support the delivery of compliance training programs to internal teams.
- Help promote awareness of compliance standards and best practices.
Internal Audit Support:
- Assist in preparing for and conducting internal audits to assess compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Identify areas of improvement, document findings, and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records and support audit reporting to management.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of working experience. Exposure to working in compliance is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with sanctions regulations, GDPR, AML/CFT frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
