We are representing a Marketing Trade Association looking to hire a new VP/Program Director in their Strategic Initiatives team.
This person will drive some of the most game-changing programs in the marketing industry today. These projects are designed to challenge the status quo and help shape the future of marketing and marketing measurement. This role will work with executives from some of the world’s most important marketing organizations, media providers, and technology platforms to envision and execute these initiatives.
They are looking for motivated, independent, flexible A-players to join their team of problem solvers, helping to tackle complex challenges from strategy to execution. As with any industry-changing initiative, the job requirements evolve which creates growth opportunities for the right person. Below is what would be expected of you to start:
- Lead a portfolio of industry changing projects aligned to a specific Think Tank (e.g. Measurement & Attribution, Marketing Organization, Data & Customer Experience, and new Think Tanks each year.)
- Take ownership of each initiative/project and its end-products
- Work independently with executives across the marketing ecosystem (i.e. marketers, analytics, technology providers and platforms)
- Design strategy and drive execution of all Think Tank initiatives and programs including but not limited to defining project scope, establishing and managing timeline, producing high-impact deliverables, and productizing MMA insights and tools
- Build on your proven leadership skills to develop strong relationships and create advocates across diverse stakeholder groups
- Think strategically while also delivering operational excellence
- Develop and inspire both direct reports and members of the extended team

Top candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree with consistent outstanding academic record; advanced degree or MBA can be helpful.
- Experience as a strategy consultant is perfect for this role
- 15+ years of business management or consulting experience with a proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in past positions
- Superior analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment
- History of taking initiative, eager to break new ground, create opportunities for others
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Process orientation with strong attention to detail; project management experience a plus
- Need to be hands-on (everyone else here is)
- Demonstrated interest in the field of marketing

This is a remote role, open to various geographies but must be open to working on a US timezone
