We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. We’re based in Berlin but are also open to hiring remotely in Germany or Estonia for this role. If you're currently based elsewhere but would like to move to Germany, we’re happy to support your relocation.
Your mission:
As our TechOps Lead, you are an engineering-minded technician, and you’ll help to build out a small but efficient TechOps function at Upvest. The purpose of the TechOps function is to own most ‘internal’ technologies including endpoints and SaaS, and working with other business units to enable a high degree of automation of various business processes, including the adoption of emerging technologies to support the business.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
You will be responsible managing the TechOps function which includes a majority of hands-on internal IT tasks, including SaaS management and office technology management
Managing our core internal IT stack (i.e. Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, etc), user lifecycle management and security controls (working closely with our Security team)
Managing our Mac laptop fleet, zero-touch DEP/MDM device deployments, and ensuring company endpoints meet the company’s security standards
Supporting teams with finding, implementing and/or integrating tools and solutions they need
Developing solutions that automate and augment IT processes (e.g. onboarding and offboarding) and improve user experience
Use automation tools (e.g Okta Workflows, Tines) and discover ways to integrate high-value emerging technologies to enable business functions
Provide helpdesk support to the business
Take part in incident management activities if a security event occurs
Job requirements:
The ability to think critically and come up with unique or innovative solutions to simplify workflows and improve security
Experience in establishing and managing efficient technology services
A strong understanding of macOS and Apple device management (MDM/DEP)
Experience with automating processes using scripting languages or other workflow automation solutions (i.e. SaaSOps)
Prior experience with Okta/Google Workspace is a plus
Knowledge of our modern tech-stack (Golang, Python, Postgres, Docker, k8s) and/or Terraform is a plus
Excellent communication and task management skills
Relocate to our amazing office in Berlin :)
