Labster’s Sales team is seeking a dynamic and results-driven inside sales executive to join our education sales team focused on our SMB markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling Labster products to the Higher Education and High School markets. This role demands a high-performing individual with a proven track record in consultative sales, a deep understanding of the higher education landscape, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth in your assigned territory
Generate new business pipeline through qualifying marketing generated leads and executing outbound prospecting
Develop territory growth plans including identifying key accounts that match ideal customer profile and generating campaigns
Provide accurate revenue forecasts to management during pipeline reviews
Maintain Salesforce.com ensuring all activity, account and opportunity data is update to date and reflected accurately
Deliver smooth handoffs of new customers to Implementation Specialist (IS) and Customer Success Management (CSM) teams
Stay on top of trends and innovations in educational technology
Travel as needed to events, tradeshows and potential customer sites
Competencies & Skills
1-3 years of experience in a full-cycle sales role; preferably in higher education, EdTech, or SaaS.
Experience with deal sizes of $10,000 and above.
A track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and KPIs.
Familiarity with sales methodologies; experience with MEDDIC or similar qualification frameworks.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple targets.
Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
Experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex deals.
Strong in-person and virtual presentation skills.
Proven ability to create and execute effective territory growth plans.
Previous experience in a cold calling role.
Mastery of Salesforce.com and Outreach.io.
Passionate about innovation in higher education, especially in STEM programs.
