About Khazna
Khazna launched in 2020 with a mission to improve the financial well-being of the underbanked, who have little access to formal financial services by providing access to convenient, effective and secure smartphone-based financial services. Khazna has received the Central Bank of Egypt’s first prepaid card license and aims to become the go-to neobank for underbanked consumers across the Middle East. In the next phase of its journey, Khazna is looking to continue scaling up its operations in Egypt and to launch its operations in Saudi Arabia.
This is a fun stage in the company's lifecycle as the core foundation has been but it is still early enough to assume a ton of ownership and to help shape the future of the company and its success.
Job Description
Who are we looking for?
Khazna is looking for a strategic partner to the CEO and operate as an extension of the CEO, a key partner that will help reach maximum effectiveness, someone who will own strategic ad hoc initiatives across the organization, and work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to identify opportunities that drive business impact at the center of a high-growth, intense, fast-moving, mission-driven startup. Guiding, listening, and participating in the conversations of the executive team as they guide Khazna through the next chapter, and help the leadership operate at very high standards.
What You'll Do?
- Lead and drive key strategic initiatives and priorities across the entire org on behalf of the CEO and leadership team
- Support the CEO by preparing, organizing, and running events and meetings of the executive team, leadership team, and company-wide presentations, upgrading them to be the most effective and productive
- Collaborate with leadership team members to determine and prioritize business strategies through research and analysis of options
- Help and prioritize the task list and own some of the tasks that would fall to the CEO
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and when needed, act as the CEO’s delegate in key business meetings and decisions to represent his voice
- Establish and implement an organizational-wide operating model and cadence that ensures each department’s ability to deliver on their strategic priorities and facilitates effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, and decision-making
- Own and lead key meetings and sessions such as weekly leadership team meetings, business and operations reviews, quarterly business reviews, updates for the board of directors, etc.
- Gap filling - step in to support initiatives or temporarily own functions that are slipping through the cracks
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:

- Thrives in high-intensity working environments
- 4-7 years experience in investment banking, strategy, corporate development, management consulting, and/or as Chief of Staff to a CEO in a high-growth tech company
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Must embrace ambiguity and demonstrate the ability to clarify the path forward for the leadership team and augment the CEO’s directives
- Executing with excellence with the ability to lead large numbers and a variety of tasks and communicating status updates or roadblocks encountered
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent and showcase complex business or technical concepts with the CEO, leadership team, and more broadly with employees
- High level of agility and perseverance
