We are currently looking for a Solution Engineer (Senior / Principal) to join our Technical Sales & Solutions team in our Brno or Prague office.
Our Team
The Solution engineers are a key part of the Technical Sales & Solutions team, engaging with companies worldwide—primarily from North America and Europe—who seek to revamp, upgrade, or extend their data operations: data analytics platform, building new data products. Our goal is to win new customers, but we also work with the Customer success team and guide our existing clients in product migrations or expansion of their use case. We focus on delivering value through our data analytics platform, multitenant distribution, frontend integration, data pipelines, and integration with third-party applications. We primarily engage with companies showing buyer intent, such as inbound leads requesting evaluation assistance, but also proactively reach out to ideal customer profiles to demonstrate our solutions. Solution Engineers work closely with Professional services, Engineering, UX, Product and Product marketing teams to deliver a cohesive and impactful experience.
What will you do?
Technical Discovery: Qualify the current problem areas while identifying additional ways GoodData can deliver value across the organization.
Platform demonstration: Based on the technical Discovery you will guide the prospects through our platform demonstrating the key capabilities and concepts that will solve the original challenge and potentially other unrecognized opportunities.
Solution Design: Collaborate with professional services to prepare solution designs, especially when the customer purchases a service package.
Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Support: Operate in an assisted trial mode to guide prospects in integrating GoodData into their business operations effectively.
Knowledge Sharing: Based on your insights from the market, you’ll provide feedback to the product team, suggest updates to the roadmap, and help product marketing define and create quality content. You’ll also replicate your successful work from real deals to support and mentor other solution engineers in enhancing their skills.

Data and Analytics Expertise: You understand databases, analytics, metrics, visualizations, and mainly data modeling. Our prospects often have messy data, and you’re adept at quickly creating prototypes based on their data.
Learner’s Mindset: You’re open to learning concepts like data lakes and AI-powered analytics, as our product development evolves rapidly.
Technical Confidence: While you don’t need to be a developer, you’re comfortable with scripting. GoodData operates as an analytics-as-code platform, so you’ll work with integrations in data pipelines or third-party applications. Some skills in Python, or a willingness to learn, is essential.
Frontend Integration Skills: GoodData’s frontend is integrated via a React SDK, allowing companies to white-label it as part of their product offerings. You may need to demo or build on this integration from time to time depending on the use case.
Customer-Focused: You’re a people person, comfortable on Zoom calls with prospective customers and their technical teams. Your goal isn’t just to demo the product, but to genuinely help prospects understand their own challenges and see how GoodData can address them.
Language Skills: All our clients operate in English, so fluency is required. Additional languages are a bonus.
