The Challenge
The Principal Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will be a part of the Business Technology HRIS team and will report directly to the Sr Director, HR Systems. The key objective of the role will be to lead the team in analyzing complex business problems and recommending efficient automation leveraging our existing ERP solution, Workday. The Principal BSA will be a partner and mentor to teammates and business partners alike. The Principal BSA will drive successful implementations of new Workday features and help to automate and optimize existing features. The Principal BSA will provide Workday product and implementation expertise for three or more features in the Workday system and be able to share this expertise to business partners at all levels of the organization. This role is key to helping ensure success for the OneTrust People Team.
Your Mission
“Your Mission” at OneTrust will be to:
- Lead cross-functional efforts to analyze, design and address business opportunities or fix system issues on 3+ Workday modules. Workday Pro Certification is preferred.
- Where the opportunity exists, provide mentoring to team members and business partners on Workday.
- Be the businesses partner for your Workday modules. Act as their primary point of contact for requests, issues and new technology needs.
- Explore, research and be able to articulate Workday features and how they can help the business to improve their automation and be able to pass audits with flying colors.
- Supports roadmap planning for local and global People Team initiatives.
- Build out best practice approaches using the most cost-effective solutions and industry trends.
- Lead and implement a wide range of support cases, projects and processes that improve efficiency on the HRIS team.
- Ensure that processes and solutions have an employee/manager experience focus front and center.
- Administration of the Workday application in 3+ modules; responsibilities include reviewing support requests, evaluating and assigning support cases to the appropriate team members and driving process improvements in day-to day support activities.
- Quickly identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues and opportunities related to Workday application administration. Drive resolutions to these issues in a timely manner.
You Are

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Management Systems or related field or equivalent experience required.
- 6+ years implementing/administering at least 3 modules of the Workday HCM application.

- HCM Core
- Payroll

- Advanced Compensation

- Workday Security
- Ability to lead, facilitate discussion, motivate, and inspire others, and mediate communication between groups.
- Ability to help define team processes, make recommendations regarding areas of improvement.
- Proven track record in leading initiatives, conducting stakeholder workshops, gathering, and documenting business requirements, and managing small projects.
- Experience documenting and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies.
- Self-motivated, flexible, team player with solid multi-tasking, time management & organization expertise with the ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels within the organization as well as collaborate with cross-functional business partners and technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies, applications, and solutions. Ability to take learnings and share with others to improve the overall skill of the team.
- Ability to understand common issues and teach others to drive work down to the most appropriate level of support.
- Demonstrated project management experience and business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
Salary Range
$123,750—$185,625 USD
