Role Overview:
As a Mid-Level Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the marketing department's analytics infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and marketing teams to ensure data accuracy, optimize ETL processes, and develop dashboards and reports that drive strategic insights. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and marketing, so a good understanding of both data architecture and marketing KPIs is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Integration & ETL: Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines to ensure seamless integration of tracking (Web traffic & Mobile measurement data like Snowplow, Adjust) and marketing (e.g. Facebook Ads, Google Ads, CRM systems) data from various platforms.

Data Warehousing: Design, maintain, and improve our data marts to ensure that marketing teams have access to clean, organized, and reliable data.

Analytics Infrastructure: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to enhance the overall data infrastructure and improve data flow and accessibility for the marketing team.

Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain real-time dashboards and reports in tools like Tableau, Looker, or Metabase to track marketing performance, KPIs, and campaign metrics.

Data Quality: Perform data validation and testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of marketing data across different sources.

Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, data analysts and data scientists to align data strategies with business objectives and marketing campaigns.

Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvements in reporting and data management workflows.
Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an analytics, data or software engineering role, preferably within a marketing or digital advertising environment.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, BigQuery).

Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehousing solutions.

Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Metabase).

Experience with programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and automation is a plus.

Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into data requirements.

Marketing Acumen: Familiarity with marketing metrics (CPC, CTR, conversion rates, customer lifetime value) and the ability to align analytics engineering efforts with marketing goals. Understanding of marketing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, or similar.

Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work in cross-functional teams.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Nice to Have:

Experience with CDP (Customer Data Platform) tools such as Braze or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Experience with Web / Product Analytics systems (eg. Snowplow).

Knowledge of A/B testing, attribution modelling, and campaign optimization strategies.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira).
