YuLife has partnered with Dai-ichi Life Insurance in Japan to redefine employee benefits In the Japanese market. Dai-ich made a £75M investment into YuLife back in 2022 and since then we have launched a successful pilot with Dai-ichi in which test users were provided with the YuLife app.
The role:
As a Sales Director you will play a pivotal role in the sales team driving revenue growth and maximising our sales potential. This position requires exceptional sales skills, effective communication, and a passion for achieving sales targets. You will work closely with the team to ensure targets are being met, through maximising sales opportunities in Japan.
Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Commitment to our sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals and aggressive revenue aspirations.
- Taking a proactive sales role in bringing Yulife to life in Japan.
- Driving new business sales and consistently achieving targets to support growth.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations.
- Working to target, setting realistic objectives, tracking progress, and addressing any disparities in performance promptly.
- Overseeing and nurturing relationships with clients.
Tools:
- YuLife Sales Playbook and marketing engine, proven to scale a business to $100mil revenue. Provide feedback on this revenue engine and take action to ensure it is localised in the Japan market
- Utilising and becoming proficient in the sales tools and technologies provided to streamline sales processes, track customer interactions, and enhance productivity. Notably Gong and Hubspot, ensure this is widely used and tracked amongst the team members.
- Collaborate with the sales operations team to optimise the use of CRM systems, sales analytics platforms, and other relevant tools for efficient sales pipeline management.
- Provide feedback on tools and suggest improvements to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
Communication:
- Collaborate closely with other members of the sales pod team to achieve team goals.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to communicate customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights to enhance product positioning and sales strategies.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Fluent in English & Japanese
- 5+ years experience in Sales consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Utilise the MEDDPICC sales methodology
- Familiarity with sales tools, CRM systems, and other sales technologies is desirable.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, urgency and intelligence.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and continuously improve.
