Position Overview:
The Country Director will have overall responsibility for the revenue and commercial success of Payhawk in the respective country. This role will report directly to the VP of Sales and work effectively and efficiently to enforce the global strategy, build a team, prioritize key targets, serve as a spokesperson of the business on a case-by-case basis, align with cross-functional departments such as Marketing, Business Development and Customer Success to drive successful outcomes in the region. The Country Director will directly lead the sales team composed of Account Executives and Sales Managers, and will be responsible for providing peer feedback to cross-functional departments to ensure consistent and cohesive strategy & behaviours within every location.
Responsibilities:
You will be leading various aspects of the business in your location, including:
- Manage country targets and metrics to drive business growth.
- Directly manage the direct sales team composed of Account Executives and Sales Managers.
- Support the local sales team with key initiatives, projects, and negotiations.
- Implement global business strategies locally to drive business growth.
- Ensure a strong presence in the relevant market segment and maintain a robust pipeline.
- Enforce the global sales playbook while adapting it to local market specifics.
- Support and provide feedback to the regional leads in Marketing, Product Marketing, Partnerships, Business Development, and Customer Success teams through a dotted line structure to ensure cohesive regional growth and office development.
- Enforce the territory strategy and growth plan, overseeing sales activities, and generating progress reports.
- Foster a successful partnership between the Sales and Business Development departments.
- Act as a local ambassador, channelling local feedback to central business operations.
- Serve as the spokesperson for the local market on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of proven experience in a similar role
- Proven experience of over-achievement in a leadership or senior sales role such as Commercial Director, Head of Sales or General Manager
- +2 years experience in a Hyper-Growth Startup
- Success in launching and scaling a business in a new and competitive territory
- Experience selling SaaS products to midmarket companies (100-1000 employees) in an outbound motion
- A natural leader who inspires the team
- An energetic and highly-motivated individual with a strong desire to work in a dynamic tech start-up environment
- Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, Linkedin Sales Navigator, Lusha, Kaspr
- Experience with the ecosystems of Oracle Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics or SAP is considered a plus.
