About This Role:
Deal Desk & Strategy is a thought partner helping Medallia close good deals through maximizing bookings, cashflow, and commissions by driving a frictionless sale for customer and sellers, coaching sellers through Medallia policies, and finding creative paths to win deals in a way that protects future growth & renewals. Responsible for pricing/negotiation guidance, deal strategy support, identifying revenue growth opportunities, identifying cost savings, engaging with customers directly in a pricing/contracts specialist role.
Responsibilities- Independently create and manage accurate order forms, incorporating necessary modifications to Terms & Conditions to meet specific deal requirements.
- Ensure precise and detailed CPQ data entry including defensible allocations, accurate list prices, and appropriate uplifts to support pricing initiatives
- Manage the entire deal approval process periodically representing and justifying deals in front of executive leadership for final decision-making
- Administer and coordinate the order form signature process ensuring timely and accurate completion to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-close deal reviews to ensure downstream Salesforce data is correct
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and legal to maintain compliance, optimize deal structures, and maximize overall profitability.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- 1+ years in a client facing role working in sales, customer success, customer operations, deal desk or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a SaaS or IT environment
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity with the ability to ask insightful questions to drive effective solutions.
- Proficiency in leveraging data to inform decision-making, including identifying and compiling relevant deal information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective and concise in conveying information.
- Ability to advise and coach colleagues on pricing strategies and contract terms.
- Proven track record of consistently generating clean, accurate, and professional-looking order forms.
