Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible, with support from the payroll analyst’s team, for the service and processing of payroll and related activities for multiple simultaneous customers, highlighting among their daily activities:
- Processing of all payrolls (Advance, Monthly, Vacation, Termination, etc.);
- Processing of occasional payroll routines (allowances, sales commission, awards, gratuities; bonuses; stock options, etc.);
- Manual and batch processing of employee movements (Admission, Leave, Returns, Movements, etc.);
- Issuance and verification of taxes related to payroll;
- Calculation of expatriate payroll, including payment in two countries;
- Validation and transmission of statutory filings;
- Annual payroll routines.
- Customer service acting as a specialist in clarifying calculations and payroll routines;
- Verification of calculations, reports, documents and files generated to be forwarded to customers;
- Generate and maintain internal control reports, documents and files;
- Generate and maintain payroll calendars;
The analyst may act internally, among others in the activities of:
- Identify and implement processes and services improvements;
- Participate in special internal projects;
- Perform administrative duties;
- Follow and act on the escalation matrix;
- Keep reports and performance metrics up to date;
- Act as a mentor to the Payroll Analysts;
- Represent the best interests of the company.
Experience Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience with payroll processing;
- Knowledge of labor legislation applied to payroll;
- Experience in interpreting the Collective Union Agreements and Client Business Rules and their impacts on payroll calculation;
- Ability to analyze tax issues, related facts and circumstances and recommend solutions;
- Excellent oral and written communication;
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and reach pre-defined goals;
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks;
- Analytical thinking and creativity in the search for innovative solutions;
- Team player in a hybrid environment, face-to-face / remote (Home Office);
- Focus on customer service;
- Knowledge of the TOTVS / Protheus solution is a plus;
- Intermediate English.
