The role
We are hiring for our HIL Team, focusing on the strategy, architecture, and design of system HILs to support software integration, system integration, and verification tests, as well as product validation tests. This includes infrastructure for manufacturing and test systems in external vehicle labs.
This role is critical in developing a software-defined, flexible HIL system that enables system-level testing and integration with different platforms, sensor suites, and product requirements. The team will work closely with on-board software, DevOps, test, and test infrastructure teams to define HIL infrastructure and its interfaces.
The team will also focus on mitigating and troubleshooting issues, developing solutions, and continuously improving the availability, reliability, and utilization of HIL systems. A key aspect of the role involves ensuring software-enabled flexibility for adapting HIL test frameworks to different unit-under-test (UUT) platforms, sensor suites, and system requirements across product lines.
Additionally, the team will be responsible for defining the integration of HILs with CI/CD pipeline infrastructure to streamline system verification, validation, and release processes.
Key responsibilities:
-
Lead the strategy, technology, and architecture of HILs, including automation, health monitoring, troubleshooting, commissioning and decommissioning, scheduling, and integration with CI/CD pipelines for Verification, Validation, and Release (VV&R).
-
Implement HIL software capabilities.
-
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards for HILs to support release management.
-
Collaborate closely with DevOps and IT to optimize HIL integration with CI/CD pipelines.
-
Contribute to hiring efforts for the HIL Development Team.
Supporting responsibilities:
-
Train and educate other team members on HILs and problem-solving, including software, hardware, and IT aspects.
-
Work with other groups to identify KPIs and develop methods for capturing them.
