Your Responsibilities in Detail
- Together, with the Brand Manager define the Brand and Category Strategy as base for the Product Strategy.
- Create a launch funnel of differentiated products with high customer value, based on the product strategy for the respective brands and your category.
- Own the new product development process from ideation to launch.
- Analyze the competition, sales trends, product trends, and consumer demand and preferences on Amazon and other marketplaces.
- Attend trade shows and work with existing suppliers to identify opportunities and develop products that meet customer needs.
- Initiate sourcing request to our Sourcing Team and work closely with your Sourcing Manager to find suitable products in the niches you identified through your research.
- Provide briefings to Content, Graphic Design, and Photography departments to ensure item branding, packaging, instruction manuals, and product listings live up to the item's potential.
- Monitor reviews and customer feedback for continuous product improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Legal and Quality Management to maximize our product success
Your Background
To join our team, you bring along
- A relevant university degree.
- At least three years of professional experience in category management, product management, or purchasing, ideally in an E-commerce environment focusing on Amazon.
- Expertise, experience, and personal interest in pet products (hardgoods), preferably as a Product or Category Manager.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- High intrinsic motivation, ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of ownership.
