Your mission

As the (Junior) Agronomist at hexafarms, your mission will be to deliver accurate AI-driven forecasts and turning them into actionable insights for growers. By combining agronomic expertise with top technology, you’ll help improve crop health outcomes while working closely with growers and our tech team to push the boundaries of innovation in agtech.
Job Description
Your work will directly impact the accuracy of our forecasts and help growers make better decisions, shaping the future of sustainable agriculture. Hence, you will:
- Perform reviews of AI-generated yield forecasts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Analyse crop images to detect stress, disease, and other factors affecting crop health.
- Collaborate with the AI/ML and product teams to integrate AI insights into user-friendly interfaces
- Engage with agronomic experts, seed breeders, and researchers to enhance model accuracy and address emerging challenges
Your profile
- Degree or studies in the fields of agronomy, agriculture, plant sciences, or similar.
- Experience working in a greenhouse, foil tunnel, or other food production sites.
- Experience in data analysis, familiarity with analytical software or coding (e.g. Python)
- Fluency in English. Our team speaks about 10 languages and primarily uses English.
Nice to have
- Experience in fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in other European languages.
