Marvel Fusion, founded in 2019 and based in Munich, is a technology pioneer in the field of safe, clean, and reliable power generation. With the aim of solving one of the biggest problems of humanity, we are developing a completely new type of fusion energy technology that dramatically increases the probability of fusion and builds on recent advances in laser and nanoscience.

The impact you will make
In your role, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing fusion energy, driving cutting-edge technology development and scientific breakthroughs. You will ensure that critical components are delivered on time and to the highest standards, directly influencing the success of our experimental campaigns and technological advancements. Collaborating closely with our science and engineering teams, you will play a pivotal role in project meetings and lead supplier selection and order-to-pay activities.
Working alongside the purchasing and supply chain team, you will expand and maintain a dynamic supplier portfolio, forge strategic partnerships, and be instrumental in refining and optimizing internal processes. Your contributions will be crucial to the development of our demonstration facility in the US, advancing our operations, and solidifying our leadership in the fusion energy sector.
Your responsibilities
- As a key part of project teams, you will contribute to achieve project milestones and financial goals for major projects.
- You will be responsible for all operational and strategic sourcing activities, incl. defining procurement strategies, price & contract negotiation and supplier selection
- As part of your end-2-end responsibility you will monitor and track on time deliveries and identify solutions in case of deviations or quality defects
- Your daily activities will also include building and maintaining a long-lasting international supplier portfolio for a variety of experimental items and products
- You will contribute to the further development of processes, such as oder-2-pay, risk management or supply chain activities
What you bring
- University degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or comparable studies
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the procurement department of the vacuum or laser industry
- Technically adept with experience in managing external stakeholders and suppliers
- A high level of diligence, quality awareness, independence, and service orientation
- Financially aware with a can-do attitude
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Experienced in working with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and ERP Systems (MS Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Fluent in German and English
- Open to regularly traveling to international locations, such as Fort Collins, to support local operations and purchasing activities
