Industrial Security Specialist
Castelion Corporation is currently looking for a Senior Security Specialist. The Security Specialist will provide support to the Security department by performing security administrative day-to-day functions. The ideal candidate will work effectively in a fast‐paced, team‐oriented environment with a high level of attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to constantly changing demands, excellent customer service skills, and demonstrate capability to take on new and unfamiliar tasks.
The Security Specialist will assist the Director of Security in the management of the company’s industrial security program, in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule, the SAP and SCI security programs, and related federal regulations. The Security Specialist will ensure that all classified information is properly safeguarded, personnel security clearances are maintained, and the facility remains compliant with government security requirements. This role will require the Security Specialist to assist the Director of Security in the oversight of all security operations, including physical security, program security, personnel security, COMSEC, SETA, CUI Control, and visitor control. This position has the potential for future growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with self-inspections and annual DCSA assessments as directed.
- Assist with self-inspections and government inspections on SAP and SCI programs.
- Notify personnel of expirations of credentials and clearances, and ensure they stay active.
- Coordinate all internal clearance action requirements
- Conduct security portion of In/Out processing
- Assist with program specific In/Out briefings
- Ensure proper coordination, and verification of accesses, for incoming and outgoing classified meetings
- Assist with acquisition and maintenance of COMSEC account and Crypto equipment
- Help update and Maintain Security policy documentation (SPP, SOPs, Insider Threat Plan, OPSEC, PPIPs, Company Security Trainings, etc.)
- Assist with required PAR actions
- Manage facility, and secure area(s), access control, alarm, badging, and camera system(s)
- Facilitate all Badge Requests
- Assist with National Industrial Security Program (NISP) compliance and other security-related activities for all facilities within the corporation, including document control, visitor control, physical access/control, education and training, personnel security, and preparation of DD 254’s for classified contracting.
- Assist in interpreting policies, disseminating information, and ensuring compliance for company employees and visitors as required.
- Assist in NISS record maintenance for facility documents.
- Assist in inventory, safeguarding and storing, delivery of classified material and/or return of transmittal receipts.
- Assist in maintenance of Security personnel files in compliance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Awareness of and compliance with company policies and procedures as defined in the Castelion Employee handbook
- Awareness of and compliance with NISP security policies to include 32 CFR 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule), Industrial Security Letters (ISLs) and working knowledge of Government security regulations and policies.
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with current periodic reinvestigation and ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret Clearance.
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Industrial Security or related field
- Microsoft Office products, Outlook, and internet proficiency.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience and familiarity with U.S. Government NISS/DISS systems.
- SIMS Database Experience
- Physical Security Experience: Alarm systems, access control systems, badging, etc.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of SAP manuals and ICD 705.
- Active Top Secret Clearance w/ SCI eligibility
- The ability to learn new functions and programs/systems.
- Jira, Confluence and Sharepoint experience
- Associate’s degree or higher
- 5+ years experience in Industrial Security or related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program and related training, FSO Certification from the Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) (i.e. CDSE STEPP Courses).
- Familiarity with COMSEC and OPSEC.
- Familiarity with Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems.
