About the Opportunity
Our Solution Strategist - Value Engineers are strategic partners to both our sales organization and enterprise customers, driving business value realization across digital transformation initiatives. They own the creation and delivery of compelling value narratives, ROI\TCO frameworks, and business cases that align Contentful’s solutions with customer success. Value Engineers collaborate with C-level stakeholders globally, helping visionary brands quantify and achieve their digital experience ambitions through our enterprise content platform, personalization, and ecosystem solutions.
What to expect?
- Lead the development and delivery of strategic value assessments, ROI models, and business cases that demonstrate the transformative impact of our digital experience solutions, working directly with enterprise customers to quantify both financial and operational benefits.
- Partner closely with Sales, Solution Engineering, and Customer Success teams to create comprehensive value frameworks, while engaging with Product and Marketing to align customer value stories with our market positioning and product roadmap.
- Drive customer investment decisions by articulating clear value propositions, establishing measurable success metrics, and developing multi-year value plans that demonstrate the strategic impact of our digital experience platform.
What you need to be successful
- Experience with Solution Selling and/or Value-based selling techniques at cloud-native SaaS companies and/or legacy digital technology providers
- 10+ years experience in sales as a Value or Solution Engineer/Architect/Consultant, or similar role
- Familiarity with Value Engineering methodologies, building and communicating ROI and TCO assessments for digital brands related to digital transformation strategies
- Proven ability in customer-facing collaboration and business case creation with C-level executives and financial decision-makers for digital experience and digital marketing platform investments
- Broad and deep knowledge of digital experience and marketing technology landscape, and ability to articulate the importance and impact of various elements that typically exist within an enterprise. This may include (but is not limited to) CMS, DAM, CRM, CDP, Commerce, Testing and Analytics, Personalization, etc
Highly desired:
- Track record of developing value engineering frameworks and scalable methodologies within a sales-lead organization
- Experience working with Content Management, Digital Experience, Personalization or similar platforms
- Understanding of the core concepts of MACH products, composable architectures, and how they relate to Contentful’s product and market position
- Knowledge of competitor value propositions and market positioning

The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of New York if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
New York Salary Range: $240,000 - $264,000
