As Hardware Engineering Team Lead you will be at the forefront of designing and developing lightweight structures and advanced electronic systems for cutting-edge Quantum-Systems Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs). Your role will encompass the design of critical structure and electronic systems, including power electronics, control circuits, and sensor integration, ensuring the reliability and performance of our UAV platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver robust solutions tailored for UAV applications.
You will be working closely with local and global teammates from the Programs, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Prototyping and System Test functions to solve complex problems in a goal-oriented manner and drive innovation. Development of mechanical systems to Quantum-Systems - your mission will be a powerful impact.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
Leadership of a small rapidly growing team
Development and design of UAS structural components and manufacturing tools
(preferably CATIA V5)
Development and design of UAS electronics and PCBs
(preferable ALTIUM)
Design and calculation (MATLAB, Python, VB.NET, Excel)
Creation of technical drawings and manufacturing documents
Integration of subsystems and payload in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs)
Construction and testing of prototypes and support of small series production
Coordination with global partner departments
Participation in the development of a global engineering process chain
Product maintenance and certification Coordination with global partner departments
What you bring to the team:
B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical engineering or Electrical engineering.
Experience in CAD development and working with a PLM system.
Good working knowledge of CATIA V5 and familiarity with common plastics manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with UAS-specific components such as motor controllers, battery management systems, and RF communication modules.
Knowledge of EMI mitigation techniques and lightweight, robust designs for aerial platforms.
