The day-to-day
As a member of the BizOps team, you'll be involved in most of these in some way or another, but there are strong growth opportunities to take the lead or specialise on one or more areas
Commercial operations (CRM systems and customer/prospect documentation (e.g., proposals, quotes, orders, contracts, NDAs, invoices).
Finance operations (accounts payable and receivable, supplier/customer onboarding, bookkeeping, record-keeping, and company filing.
Operational marketing activities (PR, website, social media, newsletters, conferences, trade shows, advertising, branding, content creation).
Product operations (logistics, planning, and execution support for product trials, demos and commercial projects; product marketing and documentation).
People operations (recruitment, employee journey (onboarding, engagement, performance, L&D, through to offboarding), payroll, benefits, travel, social events/away days).
Workplace operations (provisioning IT hardware/software, facility management, and health & safety).
Company wiki, calendar, meetings, correspondence, and projects.
Legal documentation, policies, procedures, insurance, ESG, and compliance frameworks, information and data security protocols.
Diary management and executive support for the CEO and leadership team.
Investor relations and corporate communications.
The must-haves
Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven problem-solving and project management abilities, with adaptability and a curiosity to challenge the status quo.
A pro at multitasking and context-switching, thriving in fast-paced environments and bringing order to chaos.
Deep respect for confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Advanced proficiency in both Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) and Microsoft applications.
Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly navigate and master cloud-based software and systems.
The nice-to-haves
Experience in a similar operations, administration, or business support role.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) or accounting software (e.g., Xero).
Experience managing corporate social media, websites, or other marketing activities.
A passion for fostering a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
Basic understanding of legal or compliance frameworks (e.g., contracts, NDAs).
Prior experience in a tech or start-up environment.
Comfort with data analysis or reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools).
Project coordination or event planning experience (e.g., trade shows).
