What's the opportunity about?
As a Community Operations Coordinator at Unbabel, you will join the team in charge of managing the community of freelancers who work on our various platforms.
From sourcing to onboarding, from daily tasks assignment to performance evaluation, you will be maintaining all procedures relating to our freelancer pool.
Responsibilities
- Support in maintaining freelancer database:
- upkeep of database of freelancers;
- administrative support in candidates’ hiring and testing:
- screening CVs;
- communicating with candidates;
- assigning and monitoring completion of tests.
- onboarding and off-boarding processes:
- preparing SOWs (Statements of Work) following templates;
- sending, receiving and archiving SOWs when necessary;
- archiving freelancers’ invoices when they submit them.
- Support for task assignment:
- prepare spreadsheets for recurring annotation assignments;
- upkeep of tracking spreadsheet with new assignments;
- track overdue assignments with set templates and follow through with freelancers for completion;
- verify freelancers availability and routines they have committed to, with set templates;
- upkeep of unavailability questionnaire and holiday calendar;
- process weekly manual payments;
- coordinate with evaluators the timely completion of their tasks;
- process glossary assignments and other terminology requests;
- contact freelancers for ad-hoc consulting assignments;
- answer to freelancers queries about assignments, deadlines, etc.
Requirements
- Experience with assignment-based work, with time-sensitive deliverables is ideal;
- Technical skills: exposure to databases or CRM, working knowledge of Excel or Google sheets;
- English fluency (CEFR B2 upwards);
- Tech savvy, fast-learner;
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills;
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and to learn in-house tools;
- Ability to effectively operate independently with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
